This weekend, my friend put together a lakeside summer 'floaty' party, so I decided to surprise the girls with 'mini-melon-margarita' drinks. It was a success, leaving us all feeling like we were on a tropical vacation. They were #cuteaf and easy to make...
Instructions: Start by cutting off the top end of the melon and carve out the inside until hollow (using a round measuring cup or a spoon will do the trick). Then, pour the watermelon, tequila and lime juice into a blender for about 4 seconds (doesn't take long and the chunkier the better!). Chill both the melons and the margarita mix in the fridge separately until the celebrations start! Then, fill all melons at once, cheers and get boozy!
Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
I bought 1 750ML bottle of blue agave tequila and it was more than enough.
Prep time for about 8 melons is about 1 hour.
Don't forget about the guys! They want one of those awwww so cute min-melon-margarita drinks too (trust me, I felt bad not having extras!)
